I am Tom Dudas - Creative Director behind Subtle Photography. I live with my wife and boys in Richmond BC. Having been in the wedding industry for years—first as a DJ, now as a photographer—I know how to blend into your day seamlessly while capturing every real emotion. My personality is service focused and I live and die to bring joy to people’s lives.
Photography is the confluence of art and science.
My technical background and acumen assists me delivering stunning artwork for my clients to enjoy for generations. I am proud of the glowing reviews the team has received which echoes our customer first ideology.
I am very comfortable in front of crowds, getting people to loosen up and laugh out loud! Keep in mind, my camera is focused on candid, emotional moments!
Yes, we always deliver a professional, timeless photo gallery with natural skin tones but what is different with me is that my ideal clients are free spirited and love to laugh. If you are looking for heavily posed, dark and dreary wedding photos, we are probably not the team for you. However, If you are looking for a charismatic, professional team, please get in touch!

With my Mexican and Hungarian heritage, I'm incredibly fortunate to reside in culturally rich Vancouver. It's fulfilling to bring happiness to families from diverse backgrounds with my experience behind the camera.

My Cameras
I shoot using Canon mirrorless cameras. They offer state of the art auto-focus to ensure I capture every important moment with outstanding image quality.

I love my wine. Well, heavier red wines to be specific. In fact, my wife and I met at a wine tasting downtown Vancouver.

Starting from your initial inquiry to chatting on text then jumping on a phone or zoom call. We’ll use our experience to guide you through the process so you will be put at ease so you can focus on other parts of your wedding experience. We have a knack for bringing out the laughter and joy in people with our fun, natural posing techniques.
To ensure we are all on the same page, we will fill out a wedding day questionnaire outlining the itinerary and expectations; nothing will be left to chance. The Monday before your event, we’ll set up a text chat group with us and other vendors like the videographer and the wedding planner.

Discuss Your Plans
Tell us all about your wedding plans and ask me any questions you may have. This can happen – phone or video chat—whatever you’d prefer. It is important to us to develop a relationship with our couples to better serve you.

Thumbs Up & Book It
Trusting a seasoned professional is the best decision you can make. We’ll send you an online contract to make it as easy as possible for you! You can pay the retainer by e-transfer.

Shoot Engagement
Pick a location, date and time. Get a beautiful sunset and have amazing golden hour photos we love to shoot here at Subtle Photo.

Wedding Day
Your day will be met with a confident, calm and organized approach while capturing every moment that you’ll never want to forget.
We give direction to make posing for photos move quickly and feel natural and comfortable.

Sneak Peak Gallery
The day after your wedding I’ll pick out and edit ~30 photos from your wedding and present them in an online gallery for you to share with your family and friends!

3. Leadership During Sessions: I guide couples through each session with simple poses and prompts that feel natural, ensuring they enjoy the process and look their best.
4. Wedding Journey & Timeline: I map out a detailed wedding photography timeline with the couple, including a review of an inspiration board a month before the big day to set expectations and ensure smooth execution.
